The Information Sheet models and forecasts urban passenger travel in Australian and American cities from 1921 to present. Passenger travel per person is saturating and so future growth in total urban travel will be closely linked to population growth.

This information sheet presents estimates of the variation in use of roads by drivers.
It finds that road use is highly unequally distributed among motorists, with most vehicles driven relatively low distances while a few drive long distances. The uneven distribution is particularly pronounced for motorcycles and 'other' trucks.

Bass Strait Passenger Vehicle Equalisation Scheme Monitoring Report No. 14
The Ministerial Directions governing the Bass Strait Passenger Vehicle Equalisation Scheme require us to produce a monitoring report every 2 years. The monitoring report pays specific regard to the movement of fare prices and the movement of the number of eligible passengers and the number of eligible passenger vehicles.
Air Passenger Movements Through Capital and Non-Capital City Airports to 2030–31
This report presents forecasts of air passenger movements through Australia's eight capital city airports and five largest non-capital city airports (Newcastle, Cairns, Gold Coast, Townsville and Launceston). The forecasts have been developed using econometric models of domestic and international air passenger travel demand, and incorporating the most recent economic outlook for Australia and its major trading partners. Population, income, airfares, exchange rates and the prices of domestic and overseas travel and accommodation are the principal factors influencing growth in air passenger movements through Australian airports.

This paper describes a small-scale Delphi survey of participants in a BTE workshop, held to discuss the Future of Urban Passenger Transport in Australia. The survey was not central to the workshop, but rather the workshop provided a convenient focus and venue for such a survey to be mounted.
