Results for 2006-07 are reported against a set of 11 railway indicators. These are in three groups: three train indicators, four track indicators and four market indicators. Members of ARA include all rail operators, private and government, track owners and managers and manufacturers of rolling-stock and components in Australasia. The assistance of ARA members with providing data about the Australian railway industry's performance is gratefully acknowledged. We also acknowledge the assistance of Rhianne Piamsa-Art and Brett Hughes of the ARA in the implementation of this project.
